After 6 years on Europe’s stages as the frontwoman of Harlem Lake, Janne Timmer returned to her grandmother’s old piano.
Her life was put upside down, and in a personal search she wrote her most honest songs yet. Now, the debut album is on the way and Janne returns on stage with a newly formed band. In this next chapter she explores how releasing the past brings you closer to who you truly are.

Keep readingJanne, born in 1999, has been writing songs since the age of 9. Still a teenager, she packed her bags and her piano to study songwriting in Berlin. Eventually she moved back to The Netherlands to join the band Harlem Lake in 2018 while continuing her studies at the conservatory of Utrecht. With Harlem Lake she released two studio albums, ‘A Fool’s Paradise‘ (2021) and ‘The Mirrored Mask‘ (2024), for which she wrote all song lyrics. Beginning of 2025 Harlem Lake split up and Janne decided to pursue her solo career. She is currently working on her debut solo album while touring with her Voice at the Piano project. In 2026 she’s returning on stage with a new live band!
